I go in for the concept of complex and over educated compared to the rest of the Guild wars universe. Mesmers should all be charlatans pretending to be more than they are.

I'm using Contessa Carrabas (derivative of the infamous Marquis de Carrabas, which was too long to fit)

I endorse using the honorific in place of a first name: Baron, Duke, Marquis, Count, Doctor, etc.

Your surname should be out of place for the locale. European names for nightfall characters, Middle eastern names in Prophecies and aztec names in factions seem right in my head for mesmers.

Find combos of things you like then use your thesaurus to find alternate words for it. Look thru those names and find a combo you like. I go under the name "Miasma Twilight".
Miasma has several alternatives such as Haze, mist, fog or Murk that suited the last name I wanted to use. Therefore, out of all those choices, I choose Miasma for my first name.
There are many combinations of words you can use to come up with something that either sounds good or suits a certain need that you may have in mind. Hope that this helps.

I dont think you'll ever find your name if you ask someone else for it. I find that the best and most loved characters I have are ones I took the time to think about the name for, and play it a little while to just make sure it fit the idea I started with.

It's nice to see the community throwing out so many replies though, that's awful nice of the general public to pitch in on something like that.

Personally I took my real name and substituted another name I liked for the last name. Pretty simple eh?
